So... my fantastic fiance bought me this sweet, handmade leather sketch-journal from "etsy.com" for Christmas. And as all you fellow sketchers know, a great sketchbook inspires great sketches. Yeah...so there.
Actually, it was kinda scary to open this thing up for the first time...the ghostly white pages made me kinda nervous. The truth is, I've really slacked off on my doodling for a while now. I mean, when I was a kid, you couldn't stop me from scrawling T-Rex's and Boba Fett's all over any given flat surface. But now, I have to force myself to just start doodling no matter how childish...no matter how crazy...

So I recently started re-watching the original Star Wars movies with my younger siblings... and was immediately reminded of why I wanted to be called "Han Solo" for 3 years of my childhood. That guy is so awesome it's not even funny. Seriously.
This kinda started as a sketch of my dad...and then I must have gotten bored and just started drawing drawing random cartoony creatures. The bear is my favorite. What should we call him? (How about Gus?)

Just a little primer on frogs...and yeah...that's a toad at the bottom. I know.
And yes, the "Creepy Award" goes to this sketch...from the top left-hand corner of the monkey page. This'll keep the kids up at night for sure...
