On August 31st 2011, at 8:49pm our first son came into the oxygen breathing part of human civilization. Jonah Benjamin Lueders weighed 8lbs 11oz, was 22 inches long and was very alert and peaceful. Mother and baby (and daddy, thanks for asking) are all doing very well.
Here's a video that chronicles the excited friends and family that rejoiced over his birth the first few days.

If you know anything about Ben Lueders, you know that he can't cook. That's one of the main reasons he needs a wife...he's pretty helpless in the kitchen. (It's actually kinda sad to watch him try sometimes.) If he ever invites you over for dinner, 9 times out of 10 you're gonna be having a frozen pizza. Just try it.
But one thing that Ben does relatively well is breakfasts. In fact, his famous egg skillets are really second-to-none. (According to benlueders.com)

First, you fry up some potatoes, sausage and Bacon. Throw some butter, salt and pepper in there too...why not...

You can always just grate cheese on top afterwards, but my brother stole my cheese grater...so I just mix some huge chunks of Medium Chedder in the mix...

Mmmm! I have a couple dabs of Cream cheese to use up...this will add to the artery clogging nature of this singular breakfast delicacy. Make sure you start mixing this stuff up...everything tastes better when stirred y'know. (About this time is where I pop the toast in, and get out the OJ...)

And that's all there is to it, my friends! Put some strawberry jam on the toast... pour a tall glass of Orange Juice...and just savor the goodness!

On December 20th 2008, after what seemed like centuries, Ben Lueders finally mixed the master for his first record "This Battle". In his album, Ben shares the struggles and prayers of a young man in the midst of sanctification. These songs, written out of real-life conversations and experiences, lament such things as "serving the devil" and "this flesh that begs and pleads for food", while affirming that we need to see our life on earth as a battle and that we must "lay all our cares aside" and follow Christ.
