Gospel Centered Life Promo

Jon Kayser Beach
Jon Kayser is a deep thinker, visionary artist, and remarkable human being. I met him four years ago (almost to the day), and since then we have grown up together, been in each other's weddings, and collaborated and critiqued each other on many creative projects.

It's always a pleasure to work with and for Jon Kayser.

In addition to Jon's growing reputation as one of the nation's youngest and most innovative political media directors, Jon also volunteers his film creativity and resources to help his (and my) church, Coram Deo. When I found out that Jon was making a short promo video for a new Coram Deo sermon series, I immediately let him know that I would be interested in helping him out in any way that I could.

The main thing that Jon's project was lacking, was a fitting soundtrack. I knew he had a tight turnaround, but I really wanted to take a stab at it. So the Tuesday before the video was supposed to debut, Jon took me over to his house and showed me all the footage that he had taken the weekend before. This gave me a feel for the mood and style of the video. For the next few days, we skyped each other back and forth late into the night- Jon would have Final Cut Pro open, sending me Vimeo links of his latest film cuts, and I would be composing in Logic Pro, sending condensed mp3s of my latest compositions.

By that saturday it was finally finished:
